Water supply is charged for quarterly. There is an initial connection fee of CY£20.00. The standing charge varies according to the municipality that you live in. There is a standing charge per quarter of between CYP 7.00-8.00, depending on the area, plus consumption costs on a sliding scale as follows:

For customers paying a lower standing charge, the charge per extra tonne is higher than that shown in the table above.
In the event of non-payment of your bill, the municipality often sends a reminder. If you still fail to pay, you are fined approximately CY£10.00 as an administrative charge and may be given further time to pay. If outstanding bill of your property is still not settled promptly, legal action will be taken against you and your water supply disconnected.
In areas where the water is supplied from wells: the private owner of the well(s) (this includes the Church) will charge according to their own scales. You will need to ask the individual supplier what the rates are.
